Delivering more homes

Evidence shows that homes in Guildford are now 14 times annual incomes, making Guildford one of the least affordable places to live in the UK.

Our plans provide for a community at Wisley Airfield of up to 2,068 more homes for the area with the potential for 450 to be completed by 2019, and the remainder by 2029.

Wisley Phasing Plan 2

Getting on the housing ladder

Guildford has a chronic shortage of homes for first time buyers and those in need of affordable housing. Wisley Airfield could deliver 800 one and two bed apartments and houses, as well as starter homes, for first time buyers

Caring for the elderly

Guildford’s older population is also growing, with the total number of over 65s expected to increase by 52% in 20 years.

Wisley Airfield will deliver 100 much needed apartments for elderly residents at the centre of the development, close to shops, services and community facilities.
