Benefitting the local economy

Creating new homes, schools and community facilities will bring significant economic benefits.

Our employment strategy will see some 486 direct and indirect jobs in the construction phase give way to 417 direct jobs on site, including in the schools, employment areas, shops, innovation centre facilities and sports facilities.

Residents at former Wisley Airfield

It is anticipated residents at the former Wisley Airfield will also spend around £53m in local shops and services each year. 

Other economic benefits will include c.£500,000 in annual business rates, c.£113.3m contribution to the economy and a £4.5m annual boost to local authority coffers.
