Taylor Wimpey announces Community Presentation event for former Wisley Airfield.

Taylor Wimpey has launched the final chapter of community engagement on its masterplan and proposals for the development of the former Wisley Airfield, which is a strategic allocated site in Guildford Borough Council’s adopted Local Plan.

Local residents are invited to a community presentation at The Former Ripley Primary School on 26th April where they can find out more about the proposals for the site which have been developed through feedback provided by the community during the previous three chapters of consultation. Visitors to the upcoming event will also have the opportunity to have their questions answered by the Taylor Wimpey project team who will be in attendance on the day.

Antonis Pazourou, Community and Green Infrastructure Project Manager at Taylor Wimpey, said:

“Following our purchase of the former Wisley Airfield, it has been our priority to work with the community to deliver a new sustainable community. The comments we have received from local people throughout the three chapters of engagement have been invaluable in shaping our proposals and we would like to thank everyone who has provided us with feedback.

“We are pleased to be able to share our latest plans during a community presentation, before we submit a hybrid planning application to Guildford Borough Council this spring. Due to the easing of restrictions we are delighted to be able to hold the community presentation in person at The Former Ripley Primary School and look forward to answering any questions people have on our proposals.”

The community presentation will take place at The Former Ripley Primary School on 26th April between 1-7pm. Further information is available online where anyone hoping to visit can also review the previous chapters of engagement.

This event will be operating on a ticketed timeslot basis. In order to reserve a free ticket for a chosen timeslot please visit www.wisleyairfield.com. The number of attendees at any one time will be monitored and attendees without a pre-booked ticket may be refused entry.
