About Stratford View

Taylor Wimpey has secured planning permission for a new community at the former Wisley Airfield, which will feature three unique neighbourhoods, including a total of 1,730 homes, eight Gypsy & Traveller pitches and a variety of community facilities. The first of these neighbourhoods, Stratford View, is set to bring approximately 460 new homes to the area, alongside beautiful green spaces and sustainable travel options.

Stratford View is set to become a vibrant neighbourhood with a variety of uses and community offerings. Some of those elements will include:

Highlights of Stratford View:

Approximately 460 new homes of which 40% are Affordable Homes

A Neighbourhood square and central green with commercial use

This is the first part of the sustainable movement corridor promoting active travel, frequent bus services, transport hubs, and secure bike parking for the entire development.

Surrounded by a new Country Park and green spaces for recreation and wildlife (Sustainable Alternative Natural Greenspace – SANG)

Stratford View includes 460 new homes ranging from one to five bedrooms with 40% designated as Affordable Homes, including options such as Affordable Rent, Shared Ownership, and First Homes. The community will also benefit from access to a nearby Country Park, a café, a neighbourhood square with a shop, and green spaces, fostering a vibrant and thriving new neighbourhood.

The proposed design of Stratford View follows rigorous guidelines developed with the council to ensure high-quality, well-designed homes and public spaces. These guidelines are part of a broader planning strategy, with Design Codes developed for the overall Wisley New Settlement. These codes set out the standards for the neighbourhood’s architecture, landscaping, and connectivity, ensuring a cohesive, green, and welcoming community. The new neighbourhood is also set to include a sustainable movement corridor, aimed at creating a balanced and sustainable environment.
